HULT PRIZE is perhaps the world’s biggest platform for the launch of socially responsible, sustainable for profit enterprises emerging from universities across the world. It is a startup accelerator for social entrepreneurship which brings together the brightest and the most innovative minds from different colleges and universities of the world to solve the world’s most pressing issues.

In nearly a decade, with over 2500 staff and volunteers around the world, the movement has deployed more than $50M of capital into the sector and mobilized more than one million young people to re-think the future business as it continues to breed disruptive innovation on college and university campuses across 100 plus countries.

HULT Prize global finals winners receive $1M as seed funding at the United Nations headquarters in New York as well as mentorship and advice from the international business community.

This year Hult prize celebrates its 10th year anniversary and the challenge for the current year is “YOUTH UNEMPLOYMENT” with an intent of collectively following through to create 10,00,000 youth-focused employment opportunities.

We received huge enthusiasm from the students of IMI, with 44 teams participating to create meaningful jobs for small communities. This event provided valuable guest sessions on Business ideation and validation along with formulation of Business Model Canvas. The Campus final was held on 2nd December 2018, where top 10 teams pitched their business plan on social entrepreneurship.

The winners of the Campus round “TEAM ZARIYA” would proceed further for the Annual Hult Prize regional finals to be held in Tokyo, Japan.
